When the Israelite's were saved from slavery, yet struggled with faith, God discipled them to help them increase their faith. When the twelve were struggling with their fledgling faith, Jesus discipled them.

God's main mission with humans is to bring us into mustard seed faith and help us to grow into mountain moving faith. Discipleship isn't just teaching; it's putting disciples through experiences to build their trust in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Indeed you may wonder why Paul spoke of such effusive joy, from prison. Or why 72 ordinary followers were sent with nearly no instructions and returned with joy and greater faith.
